Knitting yarn by Lana Grossa – Cool Wool Baby

Lana Grossa Cool Wool Baby is a refined knitting yarn for soft, lightweight and beautifully detailed projects. Made from 100% extrafine merino wool, this fine yarn combines natural warmth with breathability, making it a lovely choice for baby knitting, children’s garments and elegant lightweight pieces for adults. Each 50 g ball contains 220 m, offering generous yardage for delicate knits with a smooth, even appearance.

Fine merino knitting yarn for delicate projects

Cool Wool Baby has a smooth construction that helps stitches appear neat and defined. Ribbing, cables, lace borders, colourwork and textured stitch patterns all benefit from the clear stitch definition of this merino knitting yarn. The soft handle is particularly comfortable next to the skin, so it is well suited to baby cardigans, sweaters, bonnets, booties, blankets and fine accessories such as scarves or mittens.

Merino wool is valued for its ability to help regulate temperature: it feels pleasantly warm in cooler weather while remaining breathable for everyday wear. The fine yarn quality also makes Cool Wool Baby suitable for layering garments, including lightweight pullovers and cardigans. With approximately seven balls needed for a women’s size 38–40 garment, it is also an excellent option for refined adult knitting projects.
